Gaming Laptop, Suggestions/Help/Ideas?

Looking to buy a semi-decent gaming laptop for when I'm portable and not home.

Looking to spend in the area of $1400-$1600 USD, don't really have a preference with brand or anything like that, (I like MSI tho.)

Anybody purchase any recently or have any suggestions?

If someone ends up suggesting the laptop I pick, they'll get a $20 steam game of their choice.

Ooh, I like SirT. I actually like the 15 inch 4k option for that laptop. Not a bad price, and the 4k would be awesome to have.

Griffin, I have the 17 inch of the one above, and I can say they both are amazing when it comes to performance.

This exact one? Hmm. I'm trying to decide if I want the 15.6 inch with 4k display, or 17in. The 15 in comes with half size ssd and $100 less, but 4k display would be nice for watching videos.

What's the battery life like? Does it overheat/get extremely hot underneath?

My advice is avoid 17". You don't realize how stupidly big they are until you get them. 15.6 with 4K and 256GB SSD is a way better deal. Plus you save a hundred bucks which is always nice.
